Anyone had their passport renewed recently?

I submitted my passport application online about a month ago but it took me several attempts to get my photo validated (I'm abroad so can't use the e-photo service, had to take and upload a photo and there always seemed to be something wrong with it that I couldn't see[.

They finally validated a photo yesterday lunchtime and now on the tracking page it says that my passport is being printed. Could anyone on here who has had a passport renewed recently give me an idea of how long it was between photo validation and the passport being dispatched?

I have a prebooked trip that I will need a passport for on May 8th and aside from that, I had to send back my old passport so I'm currently living in a foreign country with no valid ID other than my driving licence and resident card which is far from ideal so I'd just like some notion of a timeline.

About 24hrs. Really fast once they'd printed it. I applied in January, posted the old one on Monday, new passport was delivered on the Friday. Kids renewals only took a couple of days longer in Feb.
Postman didn't need me to sign either, he took a photo of the door he'd posted it through.

I'm not too worried about the delivery part because overseas passports are delivered by DHL, I was more worried about the time it would take to be printed and processed, especially with Easter and the spring bank holidays coming up.

I did mine from abroad too last September. It was really quick from the being printed stage to me receiving the passport, less than a week.

After my first rejected photo the process was really quick just a couple of days. And I got regular texts to.update me
