Tonsils, is this normal?

I ordered a tonsil stone kit which includes really long cotton buds, and have been using them to clear out my tonsils. They work well, but it seems I get gunk in my tonsils weekly? Is this normal? Not full blown tonsil stones, but enough build up that needs to be cleared out. I’m not sure how to prevent this.

I'd be interested to know this too on behalf of my dd.
She had quite a few bouts of tonsillitis over the last few years and now says her tonsils fill up with gunk regularly like it sounds yours do.

I’ve never had tonsillitis. I actually wonder whether it’s linked to diet, I probably don’t drink as much water as I should

That's interesting. Dd (22) has thought that was the cause as her tonsils are now quite pitted following all of the tonsillitis, hence the pits fill with rubbish all of the time.

I've really struggled with tonsil stones in the last year or so and have tried - and spent so much money on - different remedies.

The only thing that has made a significant improvement is taking Vitamin D3 with Vit K2 combined. I've been taking it for maybe 2 months and now I get a tiny stone maybe every couple of weeks, whereas before I'd have bigger stones everyday.

Worth a try!
