Help me choose a new stick vaccum cleaner!

I need a new cordless one. I have a fluffy dog, and a messy toddler grandson , and mine has just died. I can't afford a Dyson sadly (though tbh our old original Dyson was rubbish after a year or so and the plastic got brittle)

Ideally I'd like a bagged one... I hate emptying the dust bin! The Halo gets good reviews for performance but seriously awful reviews from customer service as they seem to break easily.

Does anyone have the Henry Quick? Or any other suggestions ...especially if you have a double coated fluff monster! Cheers!

I've been trying since before Christmas to get Halo to replace the head of our vacuum. The hose cracked. They keep saying I'm on the priority list for a replacement but they don't know when the supplier will have more in stock. Each time, they offer to sell me a whole replacement package for £69 (might have been more at first offer). I don't want to spend more money on it and I don't want another vacuum to store somewhere in a small house.

I've just reminded them of the two-year warranty.

Oh, and we'd had it for about 16 months when the hose cracked in the head.
Otherwise, it's been very good, but I shouldn't have to use the head with duct tape wrapped around the crack on a reasonably new item like this.
