Recommendations for a home air conditioner??

Hi all,

We live with a smallish flat that gets unbareably hot the summer. Sun baring in constantly, it's hellish.

We have a new baby and I just don't know how I will keep her cool during these months.

Has anyone got a home air conditioner?

Pros and cons?

Recommendations?
