Mine for today:

Always check what clothing looks like when sat down and stood up (or moving)
Always check that fastenings are in good working order
Better yet, wear something that requires no fastenings at all
ALWAYS over-prepare your conference speech and notes because you absolutely will forget what you're supposed to be talking about, because you're SO focused on the fact that you may have just exposed yourself to a Tory MP and a roomful of strangers
always put new hearing aid battery in before public speaking

And remember...it is also okay to have a glass of wine on a Monday afternoon to recover from said debacle 🤣

You’ve had quite the day…tell me more. Fastenings, Forgetfulness, Faffing, and batteries

So much faffing. Top half of outfit came undone just as I was about to give speech. I am short and stood behind a tall lecturn so unsure whether anybody saw. Had to sit afterwards with my arms hunched round the tittage to stop any escapees.
I've got no idea what I said yesterday 😆
It's a miracle I manage a full time job really.
