What shall I do with my week off work?!

I'm off work next week and into the following one - eleven days off in total😍

My week off will end with a huge Easter weekend. Lovely stuff.

I have no plans apart from getting all the Easter gubbins down and decorating the house to within an inch of its life.
Oh and a smear test. Nice. I'll reward myself after this with a trip to B&M.

That leaves nine other days to fill with whatever the fuck I want.

What shall I do wise MNers? How would you spend nine whole days off?

Same! (But without the smear test 😂)

I'm recently single so struggling to think how to fill my week 😬

Sleep, coffee shop trips, reading, beach trip

TheNoonBell · 18/03/2024 13:51

A nice hike into the hills on a warm day.

I'd book a last minute holiday abroad. Don't waste it.

If I had to stay close to home though I'd exercise, walk, go see all the exhibitions on, theatre matinees, read, lunch out, get a new recipe book and cook some stuff, visit friends, get a massage, lots of cinema trips...

All of the things you'd usually do with your evenings and weekends.

But yes, I'd go away definitely.

CookleDoodleDoo · 18/03/2024 13:57

I can't go away because of my dog 😩

Have money.
No kids.
No responsibilities (apart from said dog).

Can dog go into dog care / to friends or family even for one night?

DelphiniumBlue · 18/03/2024 13:58

Can the dog go with you somewhere where there are some nice walks?

JennyfromtheBlok · 18/03/2024 13:59

Dog friendly air b&b?

CookleDoodleDoo · 18/03/2024 14:00

Unfortunately not - holidays are on hold for a few years.

If I needed to stay at home then I would:

  • Hairdressers for a decent cut / style etc
  • Book a lovely long massage.
  • Visit a friend / meet a friend for lunch (more than once if poss).
  • Go and see an afternoon film alone (with chocolate!)
  • Talk my DH into a day off work and go visit a Nat Trust type place or walk along the coast.
  • Do some sort of personal organisation like building a photo album or sorting through oLd clothes / bags / shoes for a sense of achievement.
  • Binge watch a series and read mumsnet for a day!
  • Get out for a morning walk each day, just after any school runs into the woods / hills / seafront etc
KevinDeBrioche · 18/03/2024 14:01

Sleep
daily yoga
read
nice walks
films in the evening
early bedtime to read!
cook and eat really nourishing food

CookleDoodleDoo · 18/03/2024 14:17

Oooh, trying a new recipe is definitely on the cards. I always make Easter chocolates and Easter eggs anyway. Might add a new cake into the mix too.

Take the dog to places locally that you have not been to. During 2020 I discovered places local to me I never knew existed (and met so many dogs I lost count).
