Finally replaced an ancient boiler which did not have a thermostat, we just controlled heat in individual rooms with the TRVs. This suited us, we could turn the bedroom rads low during the day and just heat rooms which are in use. Now we have this thermostat, which is a legal requirement I believe, and can't get the heating right. It's downstairs measuring the temperature in the reception area and turns the heating off when it hits the right temp, but the bedrooms are freezing this morning. How can this be sensible? The thermostat turns all the heating off based on the temperature of one room. I know I'm late to the party here but how do you navigate this ?
