Hi, I can't find anything online that describes my two year old.
Ever since she was months old she needs her hand on my face to go to sleep, it's obsessive though. Initially, she digs her hand in my neck forceably, she tries to find something she can pick, she's half asleep at this point then she scratches. She wakes up in the night, has to feel my face, she needs to dig, scratch, blow rasberrries, then soon settles. Other things she does is obviously move her legs around like she needs to push on things. It always feels like she needs to aggressively touch pick pinch move around. Her eyes are closed. She needs this go settle. She does this with my mum too when they Are getting ready to snuggle and nap time.
She's starting preschool next month, all the comforters I've seen won't cut it for her because they are so soft. Literally she has pulled skin tags off me and picked any scratches or even given me scratches lol she needs this to fall asleep and feel comforted. It's been. From she's 1-2
Do u :
- relate ... It's not just gentle needing mummy there.
- have a sensory toy /comforter that a picker, fidget needs
- able to say why this might be.
Little example, she got me in a headlock today whilst she was in her highchair. She was telling me it's nap time. But she needed my face, back in her claws. She will draw blood if she could and she has. She's not over reactive when she's awake, she's calm, she's meeting her milestones. But I need some help because soon I won't be able to give her my neck or her grans head and neck lol to help her settle
