What shall I buy at IKEA tomorrow?

A rare trip to IKEA tomorrow with no real purpose... anything you all can't live without?

Also, I currently have the 50X50 and 45X45 sofa cushions, but find they go flat so quickly... has anyone successfully doubled up the cushions in one cover? I'm not at home tonight so I can't test this before my trip tomorrow.

My budget is small, but I'd really like a few bits to spruce the home up for summer.

On my list so far that I NEED:
Baking trays
Candles
Bathroom tall storage

What else do I WANT!?!?

A hot dog !🌭🤣

bossybloss · 17/03/2024 21:08

Oh and those little green marzipan cakes 🤗

Hoglet70 · 17/03/2024 21:08

IKEA will tell you what you want when you get there.

swedish fish from the food shop

JinglePringle · 17/03/2024 21:09

A few Christmas presents for children in the family that you can put in a cupboard and forget about until next January.

WhatWouldYouDo25 · 17/03/2024 21:09

I would buy place mats and wine glasses ( I always break mine and IKEAs are cheap)

DuchessOfSausage · 17/03/2024 21:10

Freezer bags and garlic press

cpphelp · 17/03/2024 21:11

@Hoglet70 that made me laugh, and is sadly true.

Great so far, thanks everyone. Added to list:
Wine glasses
Placemats - lovely idea, I don't have any
Kids stocking fillers - perfect, I have three kids

Food... am I going to make it past the cafe?

@DuchessOfSausage freezer bags, yes! They should have been on my initial list. Thank you

Meredusoleil · 17/03/2024 21:14

Yes you can double up the cushion inners in an IKEA cushion cover 👍

LenaLamont · 17/03/2024 21:15

Those packs of 10 facecloths near the end of the children's department.

They are fantastic multipurpose cloths. We barely use any kitchen roll because they will do for most purposes.

Mummyofthewildones · 17/03/2024 21:15

Went today and meatballs 😋

cpphelp · 17/03/2024 21:15

@Meredusoleil brilliant thank you. Mine look flat as a pancake two minutes after I've karate chopped them

OP posts:
cpphelp · 17/03/2024 21:16

@LenaLamont like a 'cheeky wipe', perfect. We use at home too instead of wet wipes on faces and hands

cpphelp · 17/03/2024 21:17

@WhatWouldYouDo25 come! I think I'll need someone to push my second trolley at this rate!

IKEA will tell you what you want when you get there.

This🤣🤣

Also the 1.50 pot scrubbers for your running shoes or trainers. Beats spending 24odd quid for those boot cleaning things

Edited

I can confirm smaland (soft play) is definitely still a thing. Used it today! 45 mins of uninterrupted browsing with a friend I haven't seen for months = bliss 😍

Just a couple of their big blue bags would do for me. They are really hand for so many things.
