Facebook marketplace buyer complaining two months on

Two months ago I sold some ice skates on Facebook marketplace. They were in good condition, I just needed to upgrade to a better brand.

The buyer has messaged me today telling me she has worn them twice and they are falling apart. She hasn't sent any pictures.

She paid via PayPal goods and services. It's there any risk she can claim the money back?

I have just replied saying they were in good condition but she keeps replying saying they are falling apart. I don't really know what to say to her. I feel like it's unfortunate and it's the risk you take buying second hand.

When she was buying them she wanted me to send them to a different address than on her PayPal, but I refused as I knew that could be risky, so I'm wondering if this is just a tactic to get them free?

Just block her

Ask for photos

How much did you sell for?

Can she claim via PayPal though? I think she's making it up given there's no pics but even if they have fallen apart, she's had them two months!

But that will give her the impression I'm considering refunding her which I am not because they were in good condition when I sent them and she has had them two months. She could have damaged them herself even if they are damaged.

Oh and they were £25 plus postage so not expensive.

It doesn't give that impression

It puts her on the spot... there's no damage

I would block her too. Two months later is a joke.

I'm quite comfortable with telling her to go away and I don't need to block her, but I want to be sure she can't claim from PayPal before I do.

She's stopped messaging so I think has given up. she didn't actually say anything except repeat that they were falling apart so in the absence of a request for any action from me I just said I wasn't an expert in skates and couldn't help.
