Republic of Ireland circular road trip help please

We’d love to see this country and would start at Dublin.

What towns should be visit and what should we look out for? Places to miss, places to not miss and how long to stay in each place?

As someone who spent a couple of hours of an Irish holiday in heavy traffic while Cork City Council had their ring road resurfaced, I'd start by checking the location of all major roadworks during your trip and planning your route accordingly.

From Dublin for a week you could go anywhere, but not everywhere. I'd decide whether to go South, North or West and go from there. I would find it hard which direction to go in as there is loads to see wherever you go!
