If I won the lottery I'd pay someone to (lighthearted)

put me to bed. I am terrible for going to bed at a sensible time.

What would you hire someone to do?

OP posts:

Cook
Cleaner
Personal trainer
Blow dry my hair twice a week
Weekly massage

readingismycardio · 17/03/2024 17:15

Ohhhh and do all my admin and organising!!

PuppyMonkey · 17/03/2024 17:26

I’d hire a sort of cross between a PA, a handy person, a lady’s maid and a maid of all works. Who was also a right laugh. Grin

Crucible · 17/03/2024 17:27

I would have someone make all my shoes.

SingsongSu · 17/03/2024 17:27

Change my bed linen every day with expensive cotton sheets and duvet and then buy all my food shopping, healthy delicious etc and then clean the bathroom.

NewName24 · 17/03/2024 19:18

Ooh, yes.
If we are talking multi millions, I would also have a hairdresser on standby.
I LOVE having my hair done.
I also like the idea of getting into a freshly made bed with clean sheets every night although I would struggle with the sheer waste of water and electricity laundering them .
A personal trainer to make me get off my fat behind every day would be good, too.

Ellmau · 17/03/2024 19:23

I'll have a chauffeur to drive me everywhere including on holiday. I might need two to allow them time off.

Pus a housekeeper-chef to do everything else. And I guess a gardener to deal with the grounds in my new mansion. They can maintain the personal swimming pool too.

And I don't mind walking the dog but someone to pick up poo wouldn't go amiss.

AllThePotatoesAreSinging · 17/03/2024 19:26

I would book Danny Trejo as my personal morning wake up call. He can say what he wants, the more profane the better. No idea how much this would cost.

Heads off to put lottery on

HumanRightsAreHumanRights · 17/03/2024 19:33

A personal assistant to do all the day to day bits like remembering or making appointments, booking holidays or sorting out birthdays, checking mail and emails and organise everything.

Also someone to come in a couple of times a week to leave fresh meals in the fridge I can just eat cold like salads or heat up easily.

And someone to get all the clothes from the washbin and return them ironed and put away, who then selects me an outfit each morning and moves stuff to the right purse/handbag so I don't have to think about it (they can liaise with the pa so I'm dressed appropriately for whatever I'm doing).

Plus a cleaner who will tidy and of course a gardener who will just leave me the easy stuff while he's slogging away deep cleaning the greenhouse or repainting my arbour.

Would have to be a big payout lottery though.

Hatty65 · 17/03/2024 19:34

Landscape my garden.

ASmallCake · 17/03/2024 19:36

Remind me to do the things I need to do. I'm ridiculously forgetful and have a maximum of about 3 things a day I can remember to do.

Tell DC3 13 it's time for getting up/school/clubs/food or whatever else. He hates this and I'm sick of the huffing, eye rolling and OKAAYYYing. He is lovely the rest of the time but has never taken well to being told he has to stop doing something he's enjoying.

I'd definitely have a driver for all of us.

I'd quite like someone to read to me too. Someone with a nice calming voice like Bill Nighy or Roger Allam.

KvotheTheBloodless · 17/03/2024 19:38

Style and decorate the house in a style both DH and I like.

A gardener to do the boring bits (DH likes the interesting bits; I enjoy sitting in a nice garden, but am disinclined to do anything to make it nice).

Minikievs · 17/03/2024 19:39

Clean my house. Including laundry and putting clothes away.
Be my PT (bonus points if they can train me in weight lifting specifically)

Jennalong · 17/03/2024 19:40

Peel potatoes, absolutely my No1 hate.

If anyone wants to pay me to grate cheese , I'm your gal !😂

TheThoughtfulCandlemaker · 17/03/2024 19:41

Cook

Chauffeur for the kids

GrandHighPoohbah · 17/03/2024 19:45

I would employ a full time housekeeper /PA who would clean, change bedding every other day, laundry, meal plan, food shop and put away, holiday research, organise house maintenance and buy school uniform. Now that would be amazing!

Terrribletwos · 17/03/2024 19:50

Chef, chauffeur and flowers every day.

Mogdidabadthing2 · 17/03/2024 19:52

Help with more training for my crazy Patterdale who I love dearly but could probably do with one to one sessions for a few weeks/ months to help him feel better.
Oh and a cleaner

SugarMiceInTheRain · 17/03/2024 19:56

Someone to cook healthy but tasty meals so I wouldn't have to have that faff when I get home from work.
Someone to organise my home and life. I'm so bad at life admin and sorting out the millions of jobs that need doing.
A stylist. Peri-menopause has not been kind to my figure and I just have no idea how to dress flatteringly for my shape any more.
A chauffeur to do the parent taxi duties. I don't actually mind driving but feel like I just spend my life being a mum taxi.
A regular masseur to sort out my tense back and neck.
Also Someone to do my hair and make up as I'm just not very skilled at it

mynewusername2023 · 17/03/2024 19:56

Drive me everywhere, especially long journeys (which I now struggle with due to health issues) and I'd have a cleaner/cook or a housekeeper type role to do that.

I'd be happy to do everything else, I don't even mind doing laundry.

MinervatheGreat · 17/03/2024 19:56

NewName24 · 16/03/2024 22:54

Think about what to have for tea each day.

I HATE that deciding..... in the supermarket, then after work when looking in the fridge.

I just want my food to arrive, already sorted, when I sit at the table.

I’d sell my soul for a menu planner, shopper, put it away afterwards and then ….

Cook it for me!
Bliss.

Mazuslongtoenail · 17/03/2024 19:58

Tickle my back every evening. It would be the first thing I organised when the money came through!

ButterflyTable · 17/03/2024 19:58

Organise my house
cook my food and do my food shop
dye my hair and make some grow back 😂
personal trainer everyday
build me a home gym
i’d still take my kids to school etc maybe I’d have a driver so I don’t have to drop at all the activities.

Mazuslongtoenail · 17/03/2024 19:59

Jennalong · 17/03/2024 19:40

Peel potatoes, absolutely my No1 hate.

DH always steps in when potatoes need peeling. I purposely start them when he’s walking past 😉.

I could lend him to you.

Mmhmmn · 17/03/2024 19:59

Regularly clean my house, including oven, and cook some (or most) of my dinners 😂
