I like trad or slightly modern take on trad.

So leg of lamb stuffed with loads of garlic and fresh rosemary with roast potatoes, steamed asparagus and long stem broccoli, tossed in a lemon butter and baby carrots tossed in a bit of honey and thyme.

Or leg of lamb marinated in Ras el hanout spices, red and wild rice salad with pistachios, orange zest, apricots, mint, cucumber, red pepper. Served with tahini dressing, sesame and honey carrots and steamed purple sprouting broccoli with garlic and chilli flakes.

For pudding - home made almond cake with pistachio cream centre and rose flavoured icing.

Drinks - G&T with lime and mint, sparkling white wine - add fresh raspberry juice and chambord if you want a cocktail, dressed with fresh raspberries.
Light red wine for the main course.

Those lamb recipes look delicious, would def do one of those if we were just adults or another lamb dish I do with an olive oil, red wine & balsamic jus. Would roast baby tomatoes and shallots plus chantenay carrots. Potatoes would be smashed baby pots or possibly well seasoned cubes.

However we have family with 4 under 10's for lynch and a variety of likes & dislikes so it's roast beef (long & low) roast potatoes, homemade yorkshires, peas & sweet corn and roasted carrots.

Dessert will be a pavlova, decorated with mini eggs and chocolate fudge sauce-will make all this.

Am v peckish now!
