Anyone Had Acupuncture? How did you feel?

I had it a while ago for leg/lower back pain & it was effective in the short term. Had it last week, this time with needles in my ears, to help detox as I quit drinking at the end of Jan. I felt tired afterwards, which I expected, but for a few days now I have been really achey & a bit nauseous. Is it possible that my body is still getting rid of toxins?

I have but only for shoulder and then lower back/hip pain. Never had any after effects like you’ve had, sorry!

I had acupuncture for a bad back, it was from a sports physio , it didn’t hurt and i think, along with the massages, it helped. Bad back was stress related and as I’d been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a few weeks. (Looking after sick relative).

I've had it a few times from an osteopath for arm then knee pain. I didn't feel it made a lot of difference to my pain ie I felt less pain but didn't know if it was down to the osteopathy or the acupuncture.

I didn't have any ill effects afterwards.

I've had it 5 or 6 times and loved it .. make me wanted to sleep after but generally helped a lot ( 2 separate issues: grief was for for sessions and also back pain after birth)

I had it for chronic back and neck pain. I found pain on needle insertion dependant on where the needles were inserted. Back of the knee was a bit ouch. The needle twiddling can feel a bit odd. Otherwise generally comfortable. It worked well for me

Sorry, misread the post. No adverse after effects for me. Just relaxed and sleepy.
I'd say that your body is still detoxing
