It's my sons birthday coming up . His limit is 330.

He also gets pip of 300 a month.

He has 150 of that all at once . Then he has 12.50 every other day =another 150.

He got a VR thing today that was 250
He had put his 150 to it . Then I put 100 towards it.

He also wants something else that's 225.

I said the 100 was borrowed from his remaining pip money and I will put that back do he can continue to get his 12.50 every other day.

Does that sound right I'm really confusing myself.

Yes I think so from what you’ve said you’re buying him something for £225, and you contributed £100 towards his VR thing. That’s £325 so £5 short of the £330 budget.

What do you mean his limit is £330 ? is that what you have that you can spend on a birthday present for him.

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 15/03/2024 20:20

and you have already paid £100 towards the VR thing ?

so you have £230 left for another present / towards something else

so if you want you can pay for the £225 item, and have £5 left over to buy him some chocolate with

So am i meant to be putting 100 back into his pip if I borrowed the 100 fron that to pay towards the vr?

Yes, then you’ll have spent £325
