Best kids party food!

What always goes down well at parties? I am catering for my daughter's birthday party with approx 30 kids! It's not over a meal time so don't need to fill tummies but obviously need some snacks!

How old are the children? Pizza, popcorn, veggie sticks and fruit are all easy and generally liked.

What age? Presumably young primary school if it's a full class party which 30 kids classically is.

It's usually beige snack food based. If you want some more substance, then thin slices of plain cheese and tomato pizza, or a few finger sandwiches (cheese, ham, jam). Then crisps, biscuits, mini sausage rolls, breadsticks, hummus, that kind of stuff. Babybels perhaps. Maybe some cut up strawberries and grapes. A few token cucumber sticks and cut up cherry tomatoes if you feel obliged to include those.

Kids loved hot dogs...cut them in half in a bun and they went down really well and were really easy to make.

Pizza cut into thin slices

Popcorn

Veggie sticks

They absolutely loved fairy cakes

Party rings always go down well.

If you have access to a kitchen (stove or oven), either hot dogs or pizza

If not, just some cake (single fairy cakes or mini muffins), biscuits and a bowl with grapes , cut up melon and strawberries.

Sorry kids are 5/6 years old.

I was thinking pizzas too! My two never eat sandwiches at parties, too much temptation with the sweet stuff.

On my list so far is pizza, cocktail sausages, cheese pastry pin wheels, fruit skewers, big bowls of crisps, mini traybake bites, breadstick wands...?

The food is the only thing I worry about when hosting a party!

Cocktail sausages are always the first to go, in my experience.

Also mini cheddars as an alternative to crisps. And if you do get crisps, stick to plain. The salt and vinegar ones at a party my DD went to recently didn't go down well at all!
