Mumps - Surrey

Anyone else? Wondered if it was a local break out.

Me and DC have recently been suffering from Mumps like symptoms, reading online it’s a case of treating symptoms with over the counter meds, we are several days in, so no point now staying home as I think we are passed infectious stage (don’t think of mumps until my glands reacted).

DC are vaccinated, I’m 45, not sure if it was a standard vaccine in my childhood, if so I’m vaccinated, my sibling was v ill with it but I didn’t have it.

It has been a standard vaccine in childhood for decades. I am older than 45 (although I identify as somebody much younger 😉) and I had the mumps vaccine.

I was tested for mumps through a swab test. I had had mumps and my MMR at 17. Turned out to be something else but it transpired my Dh has never had it.
