Does your cat start acting strangely when you're sorting the laundry?

Mine does. The laundry basket is on the landing at the top of the stairs. As soon as I start pulling things out and sorting them in to piles she becomes very active. She will often leap into the basket and take swipes at me as I pull things out. Or else she will leap onto the banister and start taking swipes at me from there. That puts my heart in my mouth in case she falls down the stairwell, so I sometimes have to just walk away until she loses interest. Anyone would think it was a basket full of catnip not grubby laundry!

Laundry no, but I can’t make beds without the cat.
She jumps on the mattress as I’m putting the bottom sheet on and I have to hook the top end on then waft the sheet up and down over her several times. She comes running as soon as I start stripping a bed.

Ah well, if I'd seen any other threads I'd have joined in. Must have missed those. I guess my cat isn't the only one that goes mad for laundry then.
