Tooth abscess lingering

So, I very quickly got a toothache last Sunday week overnight where my face was very swollen. Went to dentist Monday afternoon and was started on antibiotics. She told me if the swelling didn't go down, go to a&e for IV antibiotics. Next morning swelling was much worse; couldn't open my eye so went to a&e, got one dose of IV and home again. Finished the abx on Sunday, was better but dodgy stomach which I'm assuming was from the abx. Now since last night, very sick stomach and face seems to be swelling again. What do I do??

I would ring 111 or go to urgent care, a dental abscess may need an incision and drainage

Thanks. I suppose at this stage I'll see if it's any worse in the morning and hope to get into my dentist

If you find it difficult to breathe or swallow due to the swelling ring I would attend urgent care/a+e

No. Its not that swollen. And not even swollen half as bad as it was originally. It just feels like it's starting to swell again. No worse this morning from last night but not much better either

I would go back to the dentist, you may need a different antibiotic. Sorry you are going through this. I had an abscess last year and it was so painful. I ended up having to have the tooth removed. Good luck.
