FB, can you see who's unfriended you?

I've got one less friend today than I had yesterday 😆

I'm not bothered, I can't see anyone who matters to me missing, it's probably someone having a tidy up, but I am curious.

Is there a way to find out who's missing?

Nope, not that I know of.

It could be that someone has deleted their account.

No

I have been meaning to ask this.

So if I in friend someone they don’t get a notification?

I would like to slide away with no drama.

I often unfollow peole, rather than unfriend.

You don't get a notification if someone unfriends you, but people might notice if they look or realise they're not seeing your posts anymore.

You can only find out be seeing who you no can’t see. If you go into your full friends list it might be that they have deactivated their account so will show on that with no profile picture and you cannot click their account. They may of also just deleted their account.

To the pp no you don’t get a notification to say Sarah smith has unfriended you.

If you have installed Facebook Purity you can get a notification when your friend list changes. Only works on the website version though, not the app. It will say this person (name) is no longer on your friend list and gives the reasons why it may be

UnravellingTheWorld · 14/03/2024 12:25

@TempleOfBloom they don't get a notification, but FB may recommend you to them as "someone they may know", and then they can put two and two together.

If you also block and unfriend, this shouldn't happen

I unfriended a bunch of people recently. Just because I don't really see them in real life anymore & I don't interact with them online. They do show up in my ' people you may know', so I assume I show up in theirs & from that they'll know we aren't 'friends' anymore.
