Has anyone got any advice regarding this please as I cannot get my head around why I was so incapcitated by nerves.
I had an internal interview today and had to give a presentation.
I'm not normally a very nervous person and did feel the presentation was in my capability but I became almost paralysed by nerves and I simply cannot understand it.
I was well prepared, had rehearsed several time and knew my topic well and it was all correct.
My throat closes up and I could barely get my words out. It was mortifying. I had to endure ten minutes of a presenting with a trembling voice and palpitations. It was a short stop from hyperventilating.
I then had to a some answer question for 20 minutes which was fine
My rational brain knows I can do this and said this will be fine but it's like some weird fight or flight response kicked in.
There were only two people on the panel.
I will be amazed if I get the post as I because of the weird nerves. Although I'd be good at it and like it
Can anyone explain this or has experienced this?
