Who’s right- me or my mum?

DS has chickenpox and I was texting my mum about it and complained that he wouldn’t let me put calamine lotion on and that it was much thinner than it used to be and doesn’t come with the dabber anymore.

DM says that I’m misremembering and it never had a dabber (technical term there 😂). What am I thinking of then? It was pink and thick in a brown bottle. The lid had a wire attached to it that went down the bottle and had a sort of puff on it. It has the same smell I remember.

I don't remember what we used it for, or if it had a dabber, but I definitely remember something called pink healing ointment when I was little. Unfortunately Google isn't much help to work out what it was.

Possibly I’m confusing the substance with milk of magnesia as I remember my grandad chugging that straight from the bottle, not the dabber though!

Thinking about it... Smile is it a new bottle? The further you get down the Calamine bottle, the thicker the lotion.
