People changing the email thread subject

Does it annoy anyone else when people change the email thread subject line?

I get 100s of emails. I will read one then click 'find related' and 'in this conversation' no further emails come up. I think of sugar no one has actioned this week old email (I was away last week) only to find once I had done most of the work again already it was done, I was cc'd but the subject line was changed.

I have asked my colleague not to do this but he still does.

I do this because colleagues send me emails with an extremely vague subject line. Eg let’s say I work in finance, colleagues who work in other teams will send me emails with “finance” as the subject line.

So yes, probably annoying for them but equally it’s annoying for me when tons of my colleagues use the same, vague subject line.

@IfYouDontAsk I do get that, I don't start email thread with very vague subjects. Some of the ones that come in externally are super vague 'PO Required' but it will still help a lot to search by subject then look at the dates .
