Would you employ this cleaning company?

I had them in to do a deep clean. The place wasn't filthy, but a bit neglected, it needed it. They said it would take 4 hours, 4 bed house, large kitchen, 2 studies (in addition to the bedrooms), one bathroom plus downstairs loo.

They didn't get everything we'd talked about done, but I always felt the time was a bit optimistic. What was done was done well.

I was half considering starting a regular clean, if we were happy with the work, but every message I've had from the owner calls me Hun and has xxx

It seems an odd way to run a business to me, but I understand it's her way of being friendly.

Would it put you off?

If the work they did get finished was done to a high standard, then yes, I'd employ them.

The communication may be very informal, but it wasn't rude. The quality of the work would far outweigh the owner's way of messaging.

I have a cleaner who communicates like that. I don't like it but I accept that it's just the way she is. She probably does it to everyone.

Wouldn't bother me at all.

A lot of people communicate that way. It's really irritates me too! But she's probably self employed running her own business it's not like you get training on how to conduct the communication side of that. I'd make your decision based on the standard of work
