Gotta be

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The Good Place

there are other shows I love but I think these two don’t have a single bad episode. It’s all brilliant right from the pilot to the finale

So many more are amazing to start with far too many to mention, and then either go completely off on a tangent or just get really repetitive and shit.

The West Wing - the best ever series

Mad Men
Desperate Housewives
Breaking Bad

I couldn't get on with Schitt's Creek

Lovetotravel123 · 13/03/2024 12:11

Another vote for Spiral.
also Top Boy and Line of Duty

WhyDoesItAlways · 13/03/2024 12:16

It took me well into season 2 of schitts creek to like it. I think it's to do with the characters being unlikeable which is kind of the point but the character growth is part of the joy of the series.

Thelnebriati · 13/03/2024 12:18

Midnight Mass
Detectorists
Sherlock
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The X Files

MrsSlocombesCat · 13/03/2024 12:28

Life on Mars. The juxtaposition of present day with the 1970s made it such a joy to watch. The sequel, Ashes to Ashes, was pretty good too.

Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong · 13/03/2024 12:31

@Thelnebriati Im glad you mentioned Midnight Mass. It was amazing and I don't know many who watched it. It was on Netflix recently, absolutely brilliant drama, the kind that stays with you.

Doseofreality · 13/03/2024 12:32

This is Us.

That’s the only acceptable answer to the question.

GinToBegin · 13/03/2024 12:36

Six Feet Under. So good from the start and throughout all five series. The last ten minutes of the final episode will stay with me forever. Stunning.

mum2jakie · 13/03/2024 12:36

Better Call Saul - not a single look, word or action is wasted in the entire series.

westisbest1982 · 13/03/2024 12:37

Almost always the quality of the series deteriorates as time goes on, usually 'cos of new writers or the existing one runs out of good ideas (e.g Sally Wainwright) but for me the only one that was brilliant from start to finish is Six Feet Under.

Tiny2018 · 13/03/2024 12:37

Handmaids Tale.

AmyAimee · 13/03/2024 12:38

Succession never missed a single beat
The Sopranos
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul.

AmyAimee · 13/03/2024 12:39

Infact I would go as far as to say Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad. Outstanding TV

Tiny2018 · 13/03/2024 12:42

This is us was also great, though I didnt watch it through to the end.

I don't get the fascination with Schitts Creek, have tried getting into it twice but I just can't seem to. Only got 3 or so episodes in, is it worth giving it a bit longer?
