I recently sent a parcel through Evri but dropped at the post office. DS is selling his old toys and this was a large package. I weighed it and measured it to ensure it was under their maximum volume which it was easily under. When I dropped it the post office they also checked its measurements and volume and said it was under the maximum. Evri delivered the parcel and it was all fine.
now I’ve been contacted by Evri asking for another £10 payment (more than the value of the toy!) as they believe it exceeded their maximum. First I though it was spam but I’ve since found it is genuine.
I don’t want to pay any more as the postage was already expensive and I don’t believe I owe the money. Not only did I check it but the post office did too.
Evri have no proof that it was over and have delivered it to the recipient. What do I do?
