Can anyone recommend a nice holiday park for a few days away?

Preferably not more than about 3 hours drive from Durham ( I wanted to go to the Isle of Wight but it’s so far to drive!)

Somewhere with things to do for children aged 8,2 and 1, preferably some attractions nearby.

Small budget so no centre parks 🙈

Have you been to Cresswell Towers Caravan Park in Northumberland on the edge of Druridge Bay? There's also a few other caravan parks nearby. Miles of soft golden sand, indoor pool, children's adventure play area, wild red squirrels on site, some dramatic ruins - a Martello tower and Cresswell Hall, good ice cream shop, bird hide on the lake if you like twitching. Good flat cycling along the coastal road.
I love it there. So peaceful.
