Vinted help as a seller please

Help! I've been stupid.

I left an old Vinted listing up for something I gave away a few weeks ago. And now I've "sold " it through Vinted!

What should I do?
Contact the seller and fess up?
Do nothing, and they'll get a refund in 5 days time because I havn't posted it?

I genuinely thought I'd removed the listing.

Tell them

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/03/2024 16:20

OK, I've told them. Is there anything o can do to speed up a refund?

You can ask them to cancel, I think? Or you can cancel

Catsandcuddles · 11/03/2024 18:33

Just be honest about the mistake, don't not do anything for 5 days as you are only prolonging them getting a refund. The buyer can then choose to cancel the order with the valid reason

PatchworkElmer · 11/03/2024 18:34

Cancel it- you’ll get automatic negative feedback that (I think) the buyer can amend if they want to. If you ask them to cancel, they will get the negative feedback- which is patently unfair.

Decafflatteplease · 11/03/2024 18:36

If you explain to the buyer then cancel the sale and put "agreed with buyer" I'm fairly sure you don't get negative feedback. This has happened to me

Catsandcuddles · 11/03/2024 18:38

I've been on the other end of this and been the buyer. I had no issue with the seller telling me it had gone , but I would have been miffed off I they did nothing, especially if they can see you have been active. I'm sure the buyer will appreciate you being honest about the mistake

It's fine.i told her.
She was fine, and I have refunded.
