(I thought posting here would be better for traffic).

I don't know if this is my first outbreak or not. I feel like utter shit. Noticed a couple of bumps on my bottom (itchy and a bit tingly) then they turned white and then red, then with a little fluid. I don't know how/when I contracted them and can't stop crying thinking my life is over and i'm dirty.

I had unprotected sex with someone 6 weeks ago. Very stupid as I know he openly admitted to sleeping with a tonne of prostitutes and a lot of girls when younger . He said he was clean and he had always had protected sex in the last decade. I was in a bit of a bad place after being raped by someone a few months prior, so properly wasn't really thinking straight.

My outbreak is very mild I would say though. I've been reading about the very bad outbreaks from people on here and mine is nothing like that. A bit sore to touch, but nothing else. I know my immune system was massively compromised last week as I had an injury which has massively set me back to the point where I haven't even been able to do much.

Can someone please reassure me?! Any advice? Could the fact this outbreak be a recurring one as it's quite mild? - Two small bumps which I've picked at and now a feel like flat blisters. I have noticed in the past one or two very small looking cold sores on my foo foo but they've always disappeared quickly and I didn't know if it was an ingrowing hair or not.

You need to get tested.

I have noticed in the past one or two very small looking cold sores on my foo foo but they've always disappeared quickly and I didn't know if it was an ingrowing hair or not.

I mean, if it's occurred after sleeping with this guy then for sure he's a strong possibility but if you've potentially noticed this in the past too you may have already had it. Maybe ingrowing hairs, maybe not. Life's not over but you need to get yourself to the clinic for proper advice.

I'm going to the clinic on Wednesday...I'm just all over the place and feeling so bad :(

Honestly and this is extremely embarrassing to even admit this, it might not be what you think it is. When i was younger, before kids, i noticed i had some spots/lumps on my bits. Convinced myself it was genital warts. Got to the sti clinic, legs in stirups and 5-6 people all peering in, the lead Dr said, oh these are just spots. We can pop these. Told me they form when nether regions get too sweaty/hygiene! I was absolutely mortified but relieved at the same time!!! I thought i was fairly clean washing often but clearly not enough. However, ive never had them since!!!! 🫤🤦🏻‍♀️😑

I think it's fairly certain I do have herpes :( They are quite blister(ish) to touch and feel, and feel like pus(y) - excuse the pun! Having said that, I have been touching them a lot, so probably making them worse. I have just found another one close by. I have been feeling around the area, and gently scratching it and then I feel a little bump.

I just feel angry at this point and like nobody will ever touch me again now.

Start taking L-Lysine. It works. The outbreaks get less and less over time. Hopefully the infection will still be visible when you get to the clinic as they'll need that otherwise they can't test it.

I know what yo mean, that 'spoiled' feeling. If it has come from his mouth rather than his penis it won't be such a strong infection (and will be oral herpes rather than genital).

Can the virus lie dormant for many years before an initial outbreak? I read online that the initial outbreak last on average comes on 2-14 days after exposure. I haven't had sex with anyone in 6 weeks. I'm wondering if it's come from me having close skin-to-skin contact with a couple of people in between. Me touching them but not actually having full sex? And what the likelihood of that would be. Ugh...I guess it will always eat me up the not knowing. I feel like jumping off a cliff.

I don't let anyone go down on me (have in the past but not until about 20 years now). It's more than likely HSV 2. :( ;(.
