I've had Covid for a couple weeks, currently still testing positive, I also have the flu, oral and vaginal thrush and a bacterial throat infection so I'm on antiviral, antibiotics. Anti fungal medication, i have stage 4 cancer and my immune system is being absolutely battered by my targeted therapy.
I lost my sense of taste about a week ago and don't get me wrong it's not the worst symptom but also wtf do you eat when everything tastes like cardboard? I am feeling hungry but everything tastes like shit, it's almost like my sense of taste at 5% so i get vague flavours but nothing specific at all. I can taste salt and I can taste that alcohol is making my mouth tingle but I cant taste it.
I've had Covid once before but this is something else, I've never lost my sense of taste.. I am also feeling like 💩 in general
Has anyone had this before? When will it come back??
The stupid thing is, is that I just signed up for Mounjaro weight loss medication but if my taste never comes back , there will be no point in ir! All the 'food noise' in my brain has gone because I can't taste anything so it's pointless
