10 and 13 year old bridesmaids- same dress as each other? Different dresses?

The 13 year old is very tall and would easily fit into the same dress as the adult bridesmaids.

The 10 year old is tall but definitely still in child sizes.

I'm not sure what the done thing is.

it very much depends on the adult dresses. My bridesmaids had open backs which I think would be unsuitable for an under 16, equally slinky silky numbers are very trendy but I would say they are probably inappropriate too. However, many adult dresses would be demure enough for a 13yo - who presumably wants to start dressing a little older and less childlike. But that has the issue of the 10 yo being the only one different, which she probably wouldn't appreciate? So it's a bit of a conundrum.

I typically like the 'bridesmaids in uniform' look, but perhaps this is a perfect opportunity for a colour palette with everyone choosing their own (bride approved) dress. I saw a photo recently where all the bridesmaids were in shade of brown, gold, and champagne expect for the brides sister who was in blue as she was the something blue which I thought was lovely.

10 and 13 are awkward ages for bridesmaid dresses. Neither flower girl nor adult bridesmaid dresses would be quite right. I think you need to find something different but complimentary.

Yes exactly. No one has picked anything yet but they won’t be very slinky.

The 10 year old is a bit clumsy so will probably need tea length.

I do like the mis match on purpose trend.

I was a tall 13 year old and would have hated to be in childrens clothes then
