I think it depends on the family and your traditions, my family don’t celebrate Mother’s Day and so my mum gets nothing specific but we meet up for tea every week and all take a turn in the cooking so a special day to be nice to mum isn’t needed.

I'd be fine with that tbh but everyone's different and there's really no right and wrong.
What would you have preferred?

Well I expect a card, nothing else, but I love daffodils so not exactly demanding!

Dd asked DS1 & Ds2 to put her name in their card

I sent a text message to my own DM as I haven't had a great weekend. She understood. Messages are fine. It's the thought that counts.
