Long term rental of an Airbnb property weekdays only

My DH and DD have an hour long commute each day to get to work/school. My DH is a teacher so only needs to be at work during term time.
He is struggling with the hours and talking about going part time to take off some of the pressure.
I am not keen on moving into the city and neither is my other DC. I just had the idea that perhaps he might find an Airbnb landlord who would be willing to rent their apartment out Monday to Thursday each week on a significantly reduced rate. Term time only so hopefully taking up the times that they would normally be empty.
do you think that it would be worth messaging around to see if anyone would be interested?

Any other cunning plans that might work?

Spareroom.com do Mon-Fri rentals.

It's a thing,

I think the issue with Mon-Fri rentals (the website) is that usually there wouldn't be a parent and child, but you could see what's on there and ask them, depends on the ages. There may be air b and b that want longer term rental, but just because you aren't using it on weekends is not going to make them give it super-cheap, they would still have to clean/prep it for guests when you were not there, so I'm not sure this is the great solution for the hosts you think it is- the people I know who are B and B longer term tend to rent to workers in the area over weeks/months.

There's the website Spare Room, there's also a website Monday to Friday which does weekday lets, and I've also noticed a lot coming on Facebook Marketplace, so that's another idea.

Thanks. I hadn’t looked at Spareroom as I assumed that it would be for singles. DD is 17 so keen to be closer to her friends! I will check it out.

Try Facebook groups for the city in question.

Do you know anyone who lives there?

DH could try emailing the school (I would to at a school, these kind of emails are common).
