Has anyone actually paid to read the DM online?
I mean it’s ok for a bit of fluff to read when eating your lunch at your desk but I can’t see myself ever paying

I am also curious whether anyone has mumsnet premium?!

rookiemere · 10/03/2024 16:11

Hah Daily Mail online is my guilty pleasure and I must admit I'm missing the agony aunt columns, but I'm not paying for it for sure.

SheepAndSword · 10/03/2024 16:11

I don't have Mail+ or premium. I tend to be put off by things which might be difficult to cancel.

My weak spot is buying Prime films!

Just click airplane mode on your phone while the article is loading. Works every time.

Same here.

I am missing the Liz Jones column the most dare I say it.

rookiemere · 10/03/2024 16:18

@PurplePanda1 oh I gave up reading Liz Jones years ago, the woman is a pure fantasist. But I do like Jane Greens agony aunt column even if it does all seem suspiciously made up problems.

MuggedByReality · 10/03/2024 16:22

There would be a freezing cold day in hell before I paid to read the Daily fucking Mail.

Doesn't work here. I was trying to read a pension article but it says need to pay

D20 · 10/03/2024 16:29

You can see the comments still. Reading DM comments is my guilty pleasure!

tortietheshell · 10/03/2024 16:46

Reading the DM online is also my guilty pleasure, but more and more of the articles are only DM+ and I will not be paying to read them! I do wonder how many people have subscribed!

I certainly won’t be giving them a penny!

You're already funding them whenever you read the 'free' version anyway.

This is true, but not directly from your bank account...

I think most people read the DM for light entertainment and escapism anyway. And to take the piss out of their journalism.

Mail Online doesn’t care if you read it to laugh at it or take the piss out of the journalism. The clicks all count the same…

Yes they do but I'm still not setting up £5 pm for their 'plus' content

SheepAndSword · 10/03/2024 20:28

I'd rather get a sandwich

TheSnowyOwl · 10/03/2024 20:29

I’m not paying for it or any other premium membership.
