Piles - TMI, but I need help!

Just recently I have been suffering with Piles (sorry TMI). Been to the GP who has confirmed that's what it is. I've got cream and a few other things.

What I don't understand, is that it becomes incredibly painful around 11am every day and the agony lasts till around 5pm. These 6 hours are pure agony, like a red hot poker is up my arse, and even pain killers don't help.

Can anyone explain this to me? Why is the pain coming and going? Also, I've been suffering for about 10 days now, I thought piles only lasted a few days?

Have you tried a suppository? how are your bowel movements?

No I haven't. I've got anusol, some sachets to make stools softer and also a gel pain killer (which doesn't work). Going to the loo as normal, and that's not too painful (thankfully). No idea where this has come from or why!
