If just like to know a bit more about people's experiences of the condition. I was admitted for surgery for a different gynae condition which was treated but a severe case of adenomyosis which I was unaware of was discovered. It was treated with diathermy. I don't know very much about it and Internet searches seem to cover the same minimal basislc info. I'd love to hear your stories.

Was diagnosed 13 years ago along with endometriosis. Prior to diagnosis I bled every day, no breaks at all, but not just any bleeding we're talking flooding. The pain was something else, child birth without gas and air or painkillers was a breeze compared with the pain I had.

My life was grim.

I was infertile as well due to scarring inside. So was offered a hysterectomy but as I wanted children I said no.

Did IVF, had my child and at the six weeks check was put on progesterone. That was 9 years ago ayi don't have any bleeding and very little pain. Yes I look pregnant due to the uterus being bulky but you get used to elasticated waist trousers etc.

I never want a period again.
