At last, exact instructions on how to prepare the infamous mumsnet chicken that feeds seven people for 8 meals.
A grand total of 56 meals.

Just had to share as I couldn’t contain my excitement. 😀

Two meals for 7 people out of one of those bags?

1lb bag of chicken bits = 453g. So 262g per meal, 37g of chicken each. Not sure that's as much protein as she seems to think it is. Must bulk it out a lot. However, you have indeed found the secret, @6pence 😉 thanks for sharing

It’s exciting!

But it’s too blurry OP.. will you reveal all or keep it to yourself?

The chicken in the recipes is more of a flavour than the substance of the meals. Of course you can make a lot of meals with one chicken if actually the main constituent of the meals is rice, pasta etc.

And there was me thinking it was a myth!

Actually it’s a bit sad really. There are people who really do need to live on a tiny budget in the COL crisis, and that sounds a really good menu on a strict budget.

I don't think it's sad. Not all frugality is prompted by poverty, in fact it's often the other way round. I think as a society we have become incredibly wasteful when it comes to food, which has a massive economic and environmental impacts.
