DIY Embroidery Cards

I am new to embroidery but did a kit from Paraffle and found it so relaxing. I thought it might be nice to have a purpose rather than something in a hoop for decoration so thinking about embroidering material (or card I guess) for birthday, Christmas cards etc.

Can anyone recommend any good kits or places to start? It would be for friends/family and not to sell so doesn’t need to be perfect/professional etc. I’ve had a Google but some of it is quite twee, I’d rather embroider something different/more modern than birds and flowers. All advice welcome 😊
