Europe Centre Parcs or better / hotels

Looking for family holiday with young DC in April, not beach type holiday but outdoors, activities, cycling and pool. Hate and loathe Centre Parcs UK due to expense (not value for money), food and crappy lodges, but have heard Europe ones are ok? Also heard about some German / Austrian kid friendly hotels?

Any recommendations?

In Netherlands/belgium Landal. I think they have some in Germany too.

Duinrell in the Netherlands 100%. It has a theme park, water park, water sports, loads of outdoor activities. We loved it as kids and I've heard it's still great.
