Has anyone been to a Hyde park concert? I have a question

DD and her BF got tickets to see SZA in Hyde park in June, both huge fans and really excited to have got tickets. I’ve just had a look at the T&Cs and it says under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Now DD will just about be 16 but her BF isn’t 16 until 2 weeks after the concert. Has anyone been and know how strict they are and if they’re likely to be id’d? They certainly both look 16 but I’d rather manage expectations now or get DH to get a ticket on a resale site.

thank you

I've been to Hyde park once about 10 years ago, me and my friend were 17 and not questioned. I've been to many gigs and never been asked for ID nor have h ever been asked to provide the card I paid for the tickets with even though it states it everytime we buy tickets! Getting in to gigs are so busy they never check ID.

Great thank you. DD BF looks way over 16 so am sure will be fine.

I've been to a Hyde Park concert and would be very surprised if they would ask for ID. There's so many people going in and their main concern is scanning tickets and bag checking! I think they'll be fine.

You can’t take in ANY food or drink but you can take an empty water bottle (there are water fountains). Food and drink are very expensive. The best place to position yourself is near one of the screens.

Thank you. I saw you couldn’t take food or drink in. She’ll have some money to spend there and obviously no alcohol for her 😊

I went last year. Other than the bag checks, I don't remember any checks being done. But then I am so clearly middle aged that I'm not sure I'm the right person to answer!
It's true that there are water fountains but the queues for those were insanely long

Hi,
Myself and little girl are going to see Kylie at Hyde Park this year on the 13th July....my question is this: although the gates open at 2pm or so (& we actually have early access tickets) I dont like the thought of being there so long with my young daughter, apparently the concert ends around 10.30pm. Im wondering if anyone knows what time the main act (in this case,Kylie) goes on stage, just to time our presence there a little bit more efficiently and not have to wait so long...obviously I know this will affect our proximity to the main stage but we simply can't be there from 2pm. Any advice and experience of being at a Hyde Park concert &approx the time the main act comes on stage...will be very much appreciated....thank you!

Usually, the main act starts after 8pm, so could be 8.15/8.30pm. Concerts habe to end 10.30pm sharp. Hope you‘ll have a great time 😊

Brilliant, thanks so much for that great info...really appreciate it!Will save us standing and being there all day waiting!
Thanks again!

The BST app which you need to download for your tickets also has a specific list of set times!
