After weeks of bland news reporting, with occasional updates on the real shit that's affecting people worldwide to varying degrees;

Finally. finally - the powers that be are getting it together to deal with the Gaza "crisis", beyond giving a few words and often 'blocked' aid.

"Feeding them on the Beaches" is a very positive step - might seem a bit a bit 'Dunkirk-ish' on the outside, but even Netty-yahoo wouldn't kill US/UK military in their deliverance of aid; unless he was truly Nutty-yahoo, then I'm sure his own people/Mossy-heads would find ways to silence him.

Has anything actually happened yet though....

It will - old-fashioned 'Mulberry Harbours' and land/sea 'component' bridges to the beach is the 'blueprint' - direct to the Gaza beaches.

It was tried and tested in WW2 and works. Given the tech advances and lack of enemy bombardments since then - the main concern is keeping the peace and fair distribution of aid to thousands of starving people.

It will work and the best thing I've heard in ages.

Israel have said that the aid will be “subject to checks” I’m worried that means the IDF will be able to delay distribution.

Maybe I should have posted in the ME Thread but this is more than just ME-specific, it's a catastrophy unfolding before the eyes of the entire world; most of humanity, irrespective of politics, religion or nationality can't bear it anymore.

The blame game is for later, right now most of humanity can not stand by and watch people starve; they came together for Live-Aid in the 80s, and are doing so again.

The Spanish ship towing an aid-barge from Cyprus has set sail, so has the US Navy - and more and more people and nations will feed The People On The Beaches, whilst the diplomats natter on.
