Forgotten phone passcode - help me get in!

Hi all

I have an old Huawei phone that my mum wants to use for calls and texts (not internet) but I've forgotten the passcode.
It lets me have 3 guesses then blocks any further tries for an hour. I can't remove the battery or do a factory reset. Is there any way to override this or is the phone now completely useless?

How long ago did you use it?

try stepping away, randomly picking it up and see if muscle memory works

It's been about 4 years tbh. I've tried all the usual passcodes but I'm at a complete loss!

Cracked it! I'd set it to the simplest code imaginable and then forgot it!
