Who loves bread?

Trying for the umpteenth time to eat sensibly and lose some weight. Think bread is my downfall - I just love all kinds....rolls, bagels, sliced pan, whole grain etc. Just curious to know how much or how little people eat each day? I try and limit myself to two small slices...

I could live on toast

@Cuppachuchu it's amazing how little honey/lemon curd/marmalade/whatever you need to use, as well. A tiny amount goes a long way (especially spread on the smoother side) and it tastes as though there's a lot more.

Bread is life! Any diet I am on has to encompass bread or it's not happening.

Me! Love it! I have a 2 slice a day rule, otherwise it makes me fat 🤣

I love bread. My local shop does a fab. poppy seed load and it tastes divine spread with Kerrygold. Mmmm......

I'm having stew shortly and will be dunking some bread in it.

Probably not helping much. Sorry!

I loooooooove bread!! Any kind ! I bake sourdough and I eat way too much as I slice it. The ends are the best, with loads of butter of course !!

Reading these have made me feel very sorry for myself😂. When I'm trying to lose weight I try to limit myself to two slices of low cal bread a day, like today.....but I have a bread shaped hole in my stomach which needs filling! So hard to go low carb!!

see me? Everyone I know will stand here and say I eat feck all , Only what I did eat was Bread I lived on bread and yep I got fat

I had to quit bread and its so not easy

Switching to wholemeal helps ( makes shit crisp sandwiches ) cause it fills you more then supermarket white bread..

I have gone from half a loaf of squidy ( omg I love it ) white bread a day to maybe 4 slices of wholemeal or a couple of wholemeal pittas in a week

Its hard,

The weaning off white bread is really difficult tbh, and still 8 months down the line I miss it and if I cave in, half a loaf of soft squidgyness is going to go down my neck

I used my two slices of wholemeal very carefully - open sandwiches, I couldnt even contemplate toast, Ive not had toast for 8 moonths Because I can not limit white bread, So I have to say to myself I cant have it

I love the bread, Take the chocolate and and the crisps and I wouldnt be so itchy.

I know where you are coming from

I’m completely indifferent to bread. My husband is obsessed with it.

I couldn’t even tell you the last time I ate any - probably at Christmas!

I have lost 12 kgs over about 4 months. I still have nimble bread at least 4 slices a day! Am just careful about the filling!

I love making bread and have made a loaf today, I make one or two each week. I have two slices of toast with eggs or soup for lunch, but sometimes have a slice or two with butter and jam and that has to stop!
