Settle an argument for me please - snowman related!

If you put a thick wool coat around a fresh-built snowman, will it melt faster, more slowly, or at the same rate than it would have done without said coat?

If its cold enough for snow and the snowman to stay frozen won't the coat freeze too making no difference to the melting rate?

The coat will essentially be at the same temperature so no difference but if the coat is dark it may absorb heat more and cause faster melting.

What colour is the coat? Is the snowman in the sun or on the shade? A black coat on a sunny day will absorb the sun and warm up the snowman. A white coat will reflect the sunlight.
