I notice they are being advertised, probably due to take place soon

Are they realistically expecting us all to participate, donate and fundraise? Because I feel it's another pressure and the tone of the adverts is 'donate as normal, nothings changed'

Grating on me a bit if I'm honest!

It's probably just me but it's one expectation after another to spend money.

No they aren't. They never do expect everyone to participate. You can easily not participate.

Like always, some people can afford to donate and do (and others can afford to and don't) and some just can't. I don't feel there's any pressure.

Just because a lot of people are struggling, it doesn't make these causes any less worthy. If you can't afford to, don't and don't feel bad about it.
