So my DS is very into cars and now has his first car. It is his birthday soon so I want to buy him some bits for the car as there is nothing else he is interested in.
He has all the stuff for cleaning it, it has been cleaned multiple times in the few weeks he has had it!

I have bought a boot tidy and was going to fill it with bits. So far I have:
De-icer
Ice scraper
Screenwash
High Viz incase of breakdown etc
Torch

Is there anything else you would put in?

Seat covers, car mats, custom decal, key ring, door edge trims (if like me you have to park next to a wall every day and worry about your paint work chipping if you hit it), metal dust caps.

How about a cradle that fits onto the dash to hold his phone if he uses the phone as a satnav?

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 07/03/2024 18:44

Jump leads, Oil, coolant, screenwash, towel, yre pump.
I was given that in my first car and 20 years later my 'boot kit' has remained largely the same (and has been used many times).

Would also second air freshener, phone holder and dashcam

Steering lock, torch, private plate.

Fluffy dice!

My parents paid for a year’s AA membership and stuck £20 in the glove box of my first car, in case I needed it for fuel or any other unforeseen emergency.
Mind you, £20 went a lot further back in the 80s!
