We've got a celebration coming up and are meeting in Newcastle, can anyone recommend a lovely restaurant for a group of 8 adults please? Money not as important as a good time, it's a special bday for SIL and she's lovely.

Thank you

Just back from a long weekend in Newcastle!

House of Tides - great modern food, tasting menu, one Michelin star

Khai Khai - Indian small plates with a section of the menu dedicated to smoked plates. Delicious, but a more casual vibe

French Quarter - French small plates, again maybe more casual but the food was excellent and I loved the wine flights

We've booked Khai Khai and Babuchimos, and over earmarked a couple of the others for when it's just DH and I.

Thanks very much for the recommendations

Is a dress okay? Or more of a jeans and nice top? I'm out of practise on what to wear on a night out.
