Hi,

She was of course trying to say Jeremy Hunt, which is always a tricky one, but ouch, that was a very clear c@#t.

Freudian slip perhaps?...

She handled it like a true pro though. Didn't even flinch 👏

Ah, she apologised at the end. I feel sorry for any presenter who has to say his name! Recipe for disaster 🤣

I'm afraid that in my mind his last name is always Cunt. It's just too singularly apt, not to be!

brytersky · 07/03/2024 14:16

Perhaps the Universe is trying to tell him something 😄

TotalAbsenceOfImperialRaiment · 07/03/2024 15:57

It happens a lot.

people saying Jeremy Cunt for one minute straight

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 07/03/2024 16:16

I remember Trevor MacDonald once reporting on the cunt kentryside. 😂

That was hilarious 😂
As was the comment from @AppleDumplingWithCustard

I needed those. Thank you.

@TotalAbsenceOfImperialRaiment

OMG haha that's brilliant

MaggieFS · 07/03/2024 16:27

That's brilliant. Tbf, it's very undertandable when saying "Jeremy Hunt Culture Secretary" because of the Cu from Culture. Slightly less excusable now, but marvellous.

notprincehamlet · 07/03/2024 16:46

I think that is in fact the correct pronunciation of Hunt. And Cameron. And Rees-Mogg.

SnapdragonToadflax · 07/03/2024 16:47

That is the correct pronunciation, the H is silent.

Trenda · 07/03/2024 16:49

I could only watch half of the video. Set me off on a coughing fit with tears streaming down my face.
Ill go back and watch the rest when Ive recovered .

Rees-Mogg is Grease-Bogg.
Cameron is just arse.

Luddite26 · 07/03/2024 16:51

I think he has been known as that officially from at least 2012. Good on her.

notprincehamlet · 07/03/2024 16:55

Sometimes when I need cheering up I listen to Jim Naughtie trying to style it out. It's a beautiful thing.

JadeSeahorse · 07/03/2024 16:58

I saw this too and the poor woman realised as she quickly repeated with “Hunt”.

I have to applaud how she dealt with it. I would have been fired as I know I would have broken into uncontrollable laughter as I did at home.🤣

Brillliant work Nina! 👏👏👏

hattie43 · 07/03/2024 17:01

I saw that . She didn't miss a beat , very professional if she realised what she'd said . Don't think I've heard that so clearly said on prime time tv before .

Luddite26 · 07/03/2024 16:51

And even if we're not saying it, we're all thinking it

Doubtisthemaster · 07/03/2024 17:14

I was listening half heartedly and thought I'd misheard for a moment, then realised I hadn't, hilarious

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 07/03/2024 18:36

It is doing the round on WhatsApp hilarious!!

Uricon2 · 07/03/2024 18:39

I once knew a very proper older lady, quite a jolly hockey sticks type, who refused to refer to him as anything other than "Jeremy C*".

Former nurse.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 07/03/2024 18:45

Hate it as an insult because I think cunts are nice - I like mine!!!! I usually call people arseholes instead! But it is too easy with ol' drag queen Jerry!

ScierraDoll · 07/03/2024 18:45

Contrary to most posts I think this was quite deleberate. I can understand a slip of the tongue if his name is followed by another word beginning with c, spoonerisms are fairly easy in those circumstances. This was quite deleberate

JMSA · 07/03/2024 18:51

As an aside, I have never known a nice Jeremy.
