My daughter has just passed her test and we are thinking about going with Marmalade pay as you go insurance. It will be with a black box fitted. How have you found the accuracy of the black box and have you had any issues? Thanks in advance.

Avoid like the plague!
We went with Marmalade when she passed her test. Well we have had so many black box fines for cornering and braking we have paid loads. One fine was for me as a granny style driver for cornering as I have been doing for over 30 years. They fined my dd and I was in the car and she did nothing wrong!

One red fine is £125
Second fine £250
Then they threaten to cancel the insurance.
You can pay to go on a on improvement lesson but the fines restart!

After 4mths we swapped and got a no black box policy for the same price.

We went through firstdriver.com who are a broker.

Thanks so much for your feedback- that is exactly what I was worried about.

DS has been with Wise Driving with a black box and we've been overall really pleased with them. He even gets money back if he's driven well <hollow laugh>

She is looking to drive my car but my insurance wouldn't allow her to be added on, that's why I was looking at Marmalde. I will try Wise drive- thanks
