Favourite foods you can't stop eating

For the second evening in a row I've skipped dinner and gone straight for a no cook plate of toast, duck and orange pate and cucumber. It's fattening but so addictive. The salty sweet pate and crunchy cucumber is so moreish.

What are your addiction inducing meals or snacks (dare I say 'picky bits')?

Mostly the latter. Definite bit of prawns in it.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 07/03/2024 00:24

Honey, I always end up finishing the jar with a spoon at some point so don't buy it.

Another mini egg lover here! I've also recently discovered a lidl milk chocolate bar with pretzel pieces inside, so it's sweet, creamy, carby and salty all at the same time, dangerous.

Oliack1417 · 07/03/2024 00:36

Medjool dates... I'm obsessed

sprigatito · 07/03/2024 00:45

Things I regularly binge on: grapes, oranges, cherry tomatoes, Jubblies, lemonade lollies, vanilla Alpro yoghurt

Things I would literally eat until I exploded if I allowed myself to: bacon, hot peperamis, lime pickle, anchovies, dry roasted peanuts, twiglets, sea salt crystals...am ND and addicted to salt and ice.

PawsisShady · 07/03/2024 01:05

Frozen berries microwaved, add Greek yoghurt, honey and some crushed up digestives
Like a shit diet cheesecake but it's got some protein in Grin
It's quite addictive

Mini cheddars with ham and grapes.

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 07/03/2024 01:47

Crikeyalmighty · 06/03/2024 21:44

Nairns gluten free versions of mini cheddars !!

Ooh I haven't seen those. I'm guessing they must be good then?

Guavafish1 · 07/03/2024 03:50

Hummus
cheese
Pizza
hot sauce
biscuits - any kind

Also, the Aldi ones are brilliant too

Guylian seashells

After seeing this yesterday I bought a box today, I forgot how addictive they are!

SprinkleOfSunak · 07/03/2024 12:11

A huge pile of chips with Nando’s perinaise doused all over them.

A bag of Doritos chill heatwave with a tub of sour cream and chive dip (the one from the fridge - can’t stand the one from the shelf!).

Bubblebait · 06/03/2024 21:41

Biscoff spread! With a spoon!!

I have yet to find any other way to eat it (probably because it doesn't hang around long enough for me to look up a recipe and then have enough left in the jar to MAKE the recipe...)

Serenity45 · 07/03/2024 12:24

M&S milk chocolate florentines. That is all.

chatelai · 07/03/2024 12:49

My home made kimchi.
I opened a new batch last weekend and went back with a large spoon and complete abandon. The next 24 hours were...interesting.

Chocolate salted pretzels.

New brand of posh Indian snacks - they do a dry fruit kachoor(?) and a fruit samosa, and a rolled-up crunchy pastry thing... amazing.

Also ND and have crazes that last for years. Currently minestrone cuppa soup because of temperature and texture. Was Heinz chicken cup soup before that.

Notmyjob007 · 07/03/2024 12:52

Fresh sourdough bread with real butter
Mozarella sticks
Fried white pudding on batch bread

AtleastitsnotMonday · 07/03/2024 13:02

The new salt and vinegar Riveta thins. Amazing!
Also the little cocktail gherkins from M&S - the jars are way too small.

ohpumpkinseeds · 07/03/2024 13:25

Crumpet thins. Less crumpet means you taste the butter more which is the whole point of a crumpet in my view.

These M&S hazelnut wafer rolls, I just don't buy them, they're like crack. Ditto the chocolate covered wafer bites from the same range.

Other things I rarely buy/eat but could happily eat every day:
Toast with butter and jam
Toast with pâté
Toast with butter and Dairylea cheese slices
Toast with avocado
Toasted onion and chive bagels (the ones in the green bag) with avocado
Double stuffed Oreos
Sour Patch Kids
Quavers
Tuc crackers with smoked cheese
Nutella, from the jar with a spoon
M&S mint baton things

I also love fruit and could eat my bodyweight in mango and raspberries.

Edited

Those wafer rolls are chefs kiss. I'm banned from buying them 😂😂

Dussa · 07/03/2024 21:40

Kimchi cheese on toast. Omg could eat that every day

SneakySnakeEx · 07/03/2024 21:45

Chocolate, jelly tots, wine gums.
A whole large bag of each a day. Its like crack to me 😂

LaBelleSauvage123 · 07/03/2024 22:07

Lao-ga-ma crispy chilli in oil
Sour cherry curd
Rhubarb jam ( my own!)
A sauce for veg made with garlic oil, a couple of anchovies and a tsp of the chilli mentioned above.
Sweetcorn on the cob, crumbled feta, blob of creme fraiche, lime juice, fresh coriander and chilli flakes.
Dairy Milk Chunks

Xylophonics · 07/03/2024 22:11

I had to go cold turkey on taramasalata because I would eat the whole tub in one. Not eaten them in years.
600 calories in those bad boys.
